Meine Lieblingszitate aus dem "König von Narnia"
My favourite Quotes from "The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe".

"This is very queer", she said and went on a step or two further. (Quelle)
"I mean, there was nothing there when we looked; even Lucy didn´t pretend there was."
"What has that to do with it?" said the Professor.
"Well, Sir, if things are real, they´re there all the time."
"Are they?" said the Professor; and Peter did not know quite what to say.

Every sensible person knows that you should never never shut yourself up in a wardrobe.

At the name of Aslan each one of the children felt something jump in its inside. Edmund felt a sensation of mysterious horror. Peter felt suddenly brave and adventorous. Susan felt as if some delicious smell or some delightful strain of music had just floated by her. And Lucy got the feeling you have when you wake up in the mroning and realize that it is the beginning of the holidays or the beginning of summer.

"It´s she that makes always winter. Always winter and never christmas, think of that!"
"Aslan is on the move. The Witch´s magic is weakening!"

Das Wort "Aslan" ist türkisch  und heißt "Löwe. (Quelle)

"The dagger is to defend yourself in great need. For you are also not to be in the battle."
"Why, sir?" said Lucy. "I think - I don´t know - but I think I could be brave enough."
"That is not the point" said Father Christmas. "But battles are ugly when women fight."

"This is no thaw," said the dwarf, suddenly stopping. "This is spring! What are we to do? Your winter has been destroyed, I tell you! This is Aslan´s doing."

The children didn´t know what to do or say when they saw him. People who have not been in Narnia sometimes think that a thing cannot be good and terrible at the same time. If the children had ever thought so, they were cured of it now.

Peter did not feel very brave; indeed, he felt he was going to be sick. But that made no difference to what he had to do. He rushed straight up to the monster.

One bite from his jaws would have cost two or three of them their hands. But he never moved.

"Never met a nicer handkerchee. So fine, so handy. So - I don´t know how to describe it!"

"Mr Tumnus!" bawled Lucy in his ear, shaking him. "Do stop. Stop it at once! You ought to be ashamed of yourself, a great big Faun like you. What on earth are you crying about?"
"Oh-oh-oh! sobbed Mr Tumnus, "I´m crying because I´m such a bad Faun."
"I don´t think you´re a bad Faun at all", said Lucy. "I think you are a very good Faun. You are the nicest Faun I´ve ever met."

"And you are, forgive me - you are what they call a girl?" (Quelle)
